The «Soft candle light» collection emerged from an artistic re- search process exploring the creation of performative objects in the context of «Mondes Nouveaux», a winning project of the French Ministry of Culture.

Initiated in collaboration with a dancer and a glass-maker, it blends the artisanal gesture with the choreographic gesture, with the aim of designing a collection of objects that challenge the molten material through the action of a precise gesture performed by the craftsman.

In this way, the glass tube is subjected to a force of attraction, seeming to reach its breaking point. At that precise moment, the material stretches, reaching its maximum flexibility.

Inspired by the shapes of scientific measuring instruments, the candle, as a luminous object, also becomes an object for mea- suring time.

As the wax flows, a contrast is revealed between the transpa- rency of the glass and the fluidity of the wax.

Its pure lines and evanescent fragility capture our gaze and in- vite us to contemplate its light.
